Small simple wooden garage cabinet plan
There is always place for a wall cabinet, especially a small one. This sample in Craftman style (the beginning of the 20th century) is modeled to remind of floor clocks, being 35 cm wide and suitable for any vertical space.
I have made it of fresh nut wood of medium colors, because it is simple to work with.
Countersunk screws and screws with closed heads were used.
Instruments and materials
- drilling machine
- block plane
- bandsaw machine
- milling device
- carpenter’s glue
Cutting of wood material:
Up and down by 1 inch thick;
Vertical and horizontal door plates by ¾ inch thick;
Box details of 5/8 inch thick; back part and shelves by ½ inch thick;
Muntins and door panel by ¼ inch thick.
Making the main frame:
Don’t waste your energy on complicated frame making methods. Use ¾ or ½ inch thick material and cut out workpieces with a sawbench by width and length.
Medium density fibreboard plates can also be used for cabinet.
